You’re Invited!

You’re invited to Home Sweet Home, a Home and Garden Show in the heart of the Kentlands community on June 10th from 10am to 2pm on the Kentlands Clubhouse Lawn. This event will bring together homeowners and contractors in support of The Dwelling Place. The event will feature businesses for home and garden renovations, interior and exterior design and decorating, artists, and home-good merchants in a fun environment. There will be two live performances throughout the day, activities for kids, and food trucks.

All proceeds (vendor fees and donations) go directly to The Dwelling Place to support the housing and stabilization of Montgomery County homeless families.

Fred Lieder

Cellist Fred Lieder, a Washington music scene fixture for 35 years, is an incredibly multifaceted musician whose skills range from classical to celtic, jazz to rock, with a heavy dose of blues thrown in. He has delighted audiences all over the country. Locally, he has played the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, the Birchmere, Ram’s Head, Blues Ally, Twins Lounge, and the State Theater, just to mention a few. Listen to a CD of many local recording artists and chances are, if you hear a cello, it’s Fred playing on that backing track. He is the author of “My Cello Has the Blues,” available at your local music store.

Maureen Andary | Dave Chappell

With humor, grace, and cabaret vocal stylings of yesteryear, Maureen Andary, delights listeners at intimate venues and festivals alike. A Songwriter with a Creative Writing degree from New York University and musical theater training, she performs with the composure of an actor and the tenacity of a practiced poet, commanding the audience with every breath. She will be accompanied by guitarist Dave Chappell: highly regarded by bot his musical peers and by fans in the DC area, he coaxes a huge range of sounds out of his trademark Fender Telecaster.

We provide a tailored approach aimed at addressing the root cause of homelessness for families. This is our premier home and garden fundraising event and is truly a unique and special opportunity for you to engage with our community.
